Margaret, a certified Iyengar instructor, has been a dedicated student and practitioner since 1986. She continues to study with the Iyengars as well as senior level teachers. Dynamic and thorough, Margaret teaches with gentle precision from her own deep practice and joy for the subject. With her friendly and practical manner, she encourages and challenges students. She now calls Morgantown home after moving from Kansas, where she was co-founder of the Yoga Center of Lawrence. Margaret enjoys reading and discussing books with the women in her book group, attending live music and theater performances, observing the changing seasons when walking her dog on the rail trail and meditatively swimming laps at the WVU Rec Center.
"When I developed a consistent home yoga practice, my state of mind and state of being changed. My hope is that I might instill the desire and confidence, as well as provide the practical means, for students to begin and sustain a home practice. I want students to learn that yoga is not just when you are on the mat in a class, but is about living life everyday with equanimity."
